These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Speak to me in English (“STMIE”, “we”, “us”, “our”), including account use, lesson access, user uploads, tutor review, and any paid services available through the site.

By using this website, creating an account, accessing lessons, or submitting materials through STMIE, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Who can use the site

STMIE is designed for learners, students, professionals, and others who want to improve their English through structured lessons and related services. If you use the site on behalf of a child, school, or organisation, you are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to do so and that the use is appropriate.

3. Accounts and login details

Some parts of the site may be browsed without an account. Other features, including selected lesson stages, saved progress, uploads, or tutor-review services, may require registration and login.

If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you notify us promptly about unauthorised use.

4. Lessons, resources, and availability

We aim to provide a useful, structured learning experience. However, lesson content, pathways, access levels, and site features may change over time as STMIE develops.

We do not guarantee that every lesson, route, or feature will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may update, remove, or reorganise content where necessary.

5. User uploads and submissions

If you upload files, written work, or other materials, you confirm that:

• you own the material or have the right to submit it;
• the material does not infringe another person’s rights;
• the material is not unlawful, abusive, harmful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate.

You retain ownership of your work. By submitting it through STMIE, you give us permission to store, access, and use it only as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant learning or tutor-review service.

6. Tutor review and paid services

Selected lessons may include tutor review, feedback, or other paid support. Where this is offered, the relevant page should make clear that this is a separate or premium feature.

Tutor review is intended to support learning and development. It does not guarantee grades, exam outcomes, admissions decisions, or other external results.

Any turnaround time stated on the site should be treated as a target rather than an absolute guarantee unless clearly stated otherwise.

7. Payments, cancellations, and refunds

If STMIE offers paid services, fees should be shown clearly before payment is made. Payment status and access may depend on successful processing through the relevant payment provider.

Where a paid tutor-review service has not yet started, you may choose to offer cancellation or refund terms. Where a personalised service has already started or been delivered, refunds may be limited or unavailable depending on the circumstances.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• misuse the site or attempt to interfere with its normal operation;
• upload malicious code, spam, or harmful material;
• use STMIE for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes;
• copy, scrape, republish, or redistribute protected site content beyond what is allowed by law or by our written permission;

9. Intellectual property
